Taryn Simon

Taryn is currently in the first year of her Master’s degree in School and Applied Child Psychology at Western University, with the goal of pursuing a career in clinical and school psychology. She previously graduated with an honours BA in Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour at McMaster University. She joined the lab as the research coordinator for the Impact of Treating Postpartum Depression on Infant Emotion Regulation randomized control trial. Taryn’s current research focuses on the intergenerational transmission of psychiatric risk, infant brain development, and mechanisms for building resiliency. In her spare time, Taryn can be found reading a Stephen King novel, spending time with her grandparents, or learning to play tennis.
